KEEP WARRING
FROM THE PLACE OF REST.
Dear Sibling
I sat back at the desk at my friend’s house and quietly asked the lord, ‘what would you have me write?’
As I began to write words down, I came to an understanding that this one was different. Right there as the words formed into sentences, the Lord reminded me of the Bible verse;
‘And on the seventh day, God rested.’ (Genesis 2:2).
Here’s the thing, you’ve heard instructions and you’ve walked with prophecies. You’ve seen visions and you’ve ran with it in the past six months but have you wondered to let the Lord take the wheel of the prophecies He has given you?
You are used to carrying yourself and doing it all, you’re used to fighting like your life depends on it, you’re used to thinking you do the bulk of the work. You are used to doing the pushing. You’re the HUSTLER! The GOAL GETTER!
Which in itself is good, admirable and quite frankly very much applaudable.
But here’s a reminder that you’re not just any person, you’re God’s child so you hustle……… differently.
Now, are you that hustler or not hustler?!
In this moment, take a pause and think of how much of everything in the last six months or even more and ask yourself ‘was not your own strength?’.
Think of how the Lord sent men, sent help because He knew you would need it. Think of how the wisdom to navigate that situation came. Do you realize how important your Father is to your hustling and bustling life? This is to say even God respects your hustle but more than ever He desires to be a part of it. So, let He who gives strength to man, take the wheel of your life.
In this seventh month;
Don’t stop walking and warring and running with the prophecies and word and instructions you’ve gotten.
Rest means giving Jesus the wheel. Letting Him strengthen you because ‘who you really think say you be?’ In other words REST!
Not by sleeping while men work but by letting go and letting God.
It’s the kind of rest that knows who is driving. The kind that moves in step with the Holy Spirit. Let the project manager of your life manage your life as he gives you tasks.
But when you constantly fight for the wheel with the driver, someone is bound to hit a wall and you and I know that’s not going to be the Holy Spirit.
So, as God rested in the seventh day, not from exhaustion, but from completion. You too are invited to REST!
