Dear Sibling,
Have you seen those videos making rounds on social media that shows an adult carrying a child on their shoulders, but only the child's head is visible, creating the illusion that the child is the one performing all the strenuous activities. However, in reality, it's the adult who is hidden under the cover and actually doing all the work?
It’s quite a hilarious sight if you ask me. But much more than the comedy embedded in the video, is the reality of the child which is the life we now live.
The Bible says in Philippians 2:13 that “For it is God who works in you both to will and to do of His good pleasure”
You literally have a big God that is always on your side, but even better, He’s living inside you. God does all the work, fighting the battles behind the scenes and we are but vessels who celebrate the victory of all He does.
This is such a divine partnership, where we must first realize that He is the doer and we must surrender to His will and ways, trusting in His wisdom and sovereignty.
Salvation serves as a perfect example, He accomplished the work of redemption on our behalf and credited His righteousness to our account through faith. The life we now live and the works we do are as a result of all He did first.
Dear Sibling,
You may appear small and insignificant, but you’re not. Within you resides the omnipotent God who orchestrates His good purposes through you. As you surrender to His will and trust in His unfailing love this, you can live a purposeful life, navigating challenges with confidence. This month, know that He who is in us is greater than any obstacle we may face.
