Wade in New Waters...
Dare to step into uncharted waters?
Dear Sibling,
If you had one word to describe what the month of December would be for you what would it be? Victorious? Bold? Strong? Trusting?
For us the Lord has called it “New Waters”, yes yes I know it’s two words but read it as one. Two references came to mind as we heard this word and the first was the story of Jesus and His disciples in Luke 5. They were still fishermen at that time, had toiled all night and yet caught no fish. In verse 4, we see the Lord asking them to cast their net one more time and do you know what happened???
They caught so much fish that their nets began to break. On account of their obedience to an instruction that had come from Jesus, they saw the results and fruits of it. If they hadn’t cast that net, if they had stood on the reality that they had toiled all night and didn’t see any fish, what do you think would have happened?
The second story takes us to 1 Kings 18 from vs 41, I don’t know about you but if I try maybe a maximum of three times and don’t see what the Lord said, I’m not sure if I have it in me to go again 7 times. But we see that Elijah was so certain that the Lord will do as He had said, so certain that he kept checking until he saw a tiny cloud on the 7th try. Not even the entire fulfillment, just a tiny sign, that indeed heavy rains would soon follow.
I said all this to say TRUST GOD dear sibling. Yes maybe you’ve tried 3 or 4 times, be like Elijah and go again. Hold on to the promises of God and don’t let the devil steal it from your heart. Hold on to God’s track record of keeping His words in your life and in the lives of those around you.
If you’ve found yourself doubting in the past few weeks why don’t you try saying this out loud, “I believe that God is able to fulfill every one of His promises to me, according to His will”.
Lastly, it’s not really about you it’s about God. God is more concerned and zealous about His will being done than you are. Why don’t you hold on to that word.
Dear sibling Take Steps of Boldness this December, Take Courageous steps of Trust, Cast your nets, Prophesy over dry bones and Check again even after the 6th try.
